Roofing Appointment Setting
What roofing appointment setting is
Roofing appointment setting is outbound calling that ends with booked time, not with a contact record. A caller works your market, finds the property owner or the manager who controls the roof, and agrees a specific window for your estimator to be on site.
A lead and a booked inspection are different products. A lead is a name, a number and an intention. Somebody on your team still has to chase it, often four or five times, often against three other roofers who bought the same record. A booked inspection is a date, a window, an address inside your zips and a person who agreed out loud to be there.
What you are actually buying is estimator hours that turn into roofs. Ladder time is the scarce resource in a roofing company, not phone numbers. When you buy appointment setting you are paying for the qualifying work, the objection handling and the calendar discipline that stand between a cold list and a truck roll that produces a signed scope.
That is also the honest limit of the category. Appointment setting fills the calendar. Your crew, your estimator and your close rate decide what happens after the knock. For a wider view of the channel, read our roofing leads pillar.
How Lead Engine books a roof inspection
Every appointment clears the seven checkpoints of the Lead Engine Appointment Standard before it is released to you.
- Homeowner identity and property ownership confirmed
- Property inside the contractor's approved service area
- Roof age and reason for the quote documented
- Decision maker confirmed to be present at the appointment
- Specific appointment window agreed and read back
- Calendar invite issued with a unique reference ID
- Final internal QA review before release
After the booking, the appointment lands on your calendar with a unique reference ID and the qualification notes attached, so your estimator reads roof age, the stated reason for the quote and who signs before leaving the yard. The homeowner or contact gets a confirmation and reminders tied to that same ID.
We track the outcome of every reference ID: shown, rescheduled or no show. Appointments that fail the Standard are replaced at no charge, and if the week is short of the published floor we keep calling at no additional cost. You get a weekly view of dials, connects, appointments set, appointments shown and what your team reported back.
The full checkpoint detail, including what a failure looks like at each step, is written out on the Lead Engine Appointment Standard page.
Residential and commercial roof inspections
Both programs are appointment setting, but the buyer, the qualifying script and the calendar rhythm are not the same. Residential work is a conversation with the person who owns the roof, and the decision usually lands fast. Commercial work is a conversation with somebody who manages a roof on behalf of an owner, and the decision moves through survey, scope, bid and budget.
| Point of comparison | Residential roof inspections | Commercial roof inspections | Why it matters to you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who the caller reaches | The homeowner on title, with any co-owner noted | Property manager, facility director, asset manager or building owner | Wrong contact, wasted truck roll. |
| What gets confirmed on the call | Ownership, address inside your zips, roof age, reason for the quote, agreed window read back | Authority to approve an inspection, building address and access, membrane type where known, who approves scope | Decides whether your estimator can quote on the first visit. |
| Published weekly floor | At least 6 shown roof inspections a week | At least 4 shown inspections a week | Tells you how much estimator capacity to hold open. |
| How long the job cycle runs | Inspection, estimate and decision usually inside the same few weeks | Survey, scope, bid and budget approval run across months, often a full capital cycle | Sets when booked time turns into signed scope. |
Run one or run both. Contractors with a shingle crew and a single ply crew often split the week, holding two mornings for commercial surveys and the rest for retail and insurance work. Storm months push the residential side up. Autumn pushes the commercial side up, because next year's capital budgets get set while the roof is still dry enough to walk. Tell us which crew has idle capacity and we script to that crew, not to an average. Commercial detail, including who signs off and how vendor approval works, sits on our commercial roofing page.
What you get in a week
A published weekly floor: at least 6 shown residential roof inspections a week, or at least 4 shown commercial inspections a week. Shown means the inspection happened with the decision maker present. It is a floor, written down, so you can hold us to it instead of reading a promise.
US based callers make every call, using your company name and your approved zip list. One roofing contractor per market, so the appointment on your calendar was never set for anybody else and is never resold.
Month to month with no long term contract. If the program is not producing booked time you can stop, which is the only commitment structure that keeps the pressure on us rather than on you.
Appointments that fail the Lead Engine Appointment Standard are replaced at no charge. If the week runs short of the floor, we keep calling at no additional cost until the booked time is on the calendar. Pricing is scoped on a 30 minute call, once we know your market, your crew capacity and whether you want residential, commercial or both.
When Lead Engine is the wrong fit
If you have nobody to run the inspections, do not start. Six shown residential inspections a week is real ladder time and real drive time. A contractor whose only estimator is already on roofs all day will burn the appointments, miss windows, and blame the calls. Hire or promote the estimator first, then call us.
If you want shared or resold leads, we are the wrong shop. One roofing contractor per market means the market either has capacity for you or it does not. There is no cheaper tier where the same booked time also goes to two other roofers.
If your market is already taken, it is taken. We will tell you on the call and we will not book a second contractor next door to the first one.
If what you want is a list, buy a list. We are not a data vendor. We do not sell contact records, and the value here is the calling, the qualifying and the confirmed window, which is the expensive part. A contractor whose plan is to hand records to canvassers should spend the money on canvassers instead.
Roofing appointment setting FAQs
What is a roofing appointment setting company?
A roofing appointment setting company makes the outbound calls a roofing contractor does not have time to make, then puts a confirmed roof inspection on the estimator's calendar. You are not buying contact records. You are buying booked time with a property owner or manager who agreed to a specific window and knows your company name.
How many roof inspections a week does Lead Engine book?
The published weekly floor is at least 6 shown residential roof inspections a week, or at least 4 shown commercial inspections a week. Shown means the inspection happened with the decision maker present. The exact program, market and calendar capacity are scoped on a 30 minute strategy call, and pricing is scoped on that call.
Are the callers based in the United States?
Yes. The callers are US based. They speak with homeowners, property managers and facility contacts in your own market, using your company name, and they document roof age and the reason for the quote in the caller's own words. The notes ride along with the calendar invite so your estimator reads the situation before the drive.
What happens if an appointment does not meet the standard?
Appointments that fail the Lead Engine Appointment Standard are replaced at no charge. Nothing is passed along with a caveat attached. If your calendar is short of the published weekly floor for the week, we keep calling at no additional cost until the booked time is on the calendar.
Tell us your market and your estimator capacity, and we will tell you whether the market is open and what the program looks like. It starts with a 30 minute call.
