Glossary/SDR & Sales Ops

    SDR (Sales Development Representative)

A rep whose only job is to book qualified meetings for account executives through outbound.

    Definition

An SDR is a full time outbound seller who owns cold calls, cold email, and social touches to book meetings for the AE team. SDRs do not close deals.

Want booked sales meetings on your calendar?

Month to month. Scoped on a 20 minute call.

    Why it matters

SDRs let AEs stay in the buying conversation instead of prospecting. A ramped SDR usually books 8 to 15 qualified meetings per month.

    How it works

    • Owns a set of target accounts
    • Runs multichannel sequences across call, email, and LinkedIn
    • Qualifies replies and books meetings
    • Reports to a sales manager or head of sales
    • Compensated on meetings booked, meetings held, or pipeline created
