Definition
SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are DNS records that authenticate your outbound email. Together they tell inbox providers the message is legitimately from you.
Why it matters
Without all three, cold emails will land in spam. Google and Microsoft now require them for any bulk sender.
How it works
- SPF lists servers allowed to send from your domain
- DKIM signs each email with a private key that receivers verify
- DMARC tells receivers what to do if SPF or DKIM fail
- All three are set as TXT records at your DNS host
